What LL Means on a Kenmore Wine Cooler
The LL error code is a low temperature alarm — the wine cooler interior has dropped below the minimum safe temperature for wine storage. This can cause wine to freeze and bottles to crack.
Common Causes
- Temperature set too low
- Control board malfunction causing over-cooling
- Thermostat failure (stuck open/cooling)
- Ambient temperature in the room is very low (garage in winter)
What You Can Do
- Check and raise the temperature setting — wine is best stored between 45–65°F (7–18°C).
- If the setting is correct but the cooler is over-cooling, the thermostat or temperature sensor has failed.
- Move the unit to a warmer location if installing in a cold space.
